The legend
Buddy the orange unicorn is the host of It's Buddy!, the children's show inside Buddy (2026), directed by Casper Kelly. When a child challenges the show's happy routine, its friendly mascot reveals a sinister side.
The Buddy movie turns the familiar world of children's television into horror. Its theatrical release date was August 28, 2026. Find spoiler-free answers about the cast, trailer, age rating and where to watch in the FAQ below.
We are an independent fan studio. We create original haunted unicorn portraits and never reproduce the film's character design.
Make it your own
Bring the haunted TV-show mood to a Halloween look, a fan portrait or a night with friends.
For an original Buddy the Unicorn costume idea, start with a lilac hoodie, a soft ivory horn and a mint yarn mane. Our DIY guide explains materials, assembly and budget; Costume Try-On offers an imaginative digital preview.
Use dramatic lighting, a storybook backdrop or a midnight palette to shape your own dark unicorn character. Download your portrait to use in a fan-art collage or add your own caption in an image editor for a unicorn meme.
Pair bright paper decorations with a pretend TV-stage photo corner and a nostalgic playlist. Invite friends to invent their own unicorn characters, then use their portraits as digital party avatars. Keep any Buddy movie screening for an age-appropriate audience.

Questions
Buddy (2026) is a horror comedy directed by Casper Kelly. Children in the world of It's Buddy! discover that their orange unicorn host is dangerous and must find a way out. The cheerful setting is part of the horror, not a sign that this is a children's movie.
Look for Buddy (2026), directed by Casper Kelly, on Apple TV and in local cinema listings. Apple TV has a film page, but rental, purchase and streaming options depend on your country. Check the available options there before paying; a listing does not mean the film is included in a subscription.
The distributor Métropole Films includes a trailer on its Buddy film page. The preview introduces the orange unicorn and the unsettling world of his show; it is separate from the full movie.
Buddy has a US R rating for bloody violence, drug content and language involving children. Its colorful mascot does not make it a family film. Check your local classification and content guidance before deciding who should watch.
Keegan-Michael Key voices Buddy. The cast also includes Delaney Quinn as Freddy, Cristin Milioti as Grace and Topher Grace as Ben, with Michael Shannon and Patton Oswalt.
The distributor lists August 28, 2026 as the theatrical release date. There is no single closing date for every theater: check your local cinema for its final screenings. Digital and streaming schedules can differ by country.
It's Buddy! is the show within the 2026 horror movie. Its familiar children's-TV style is part of the fictional setting; the film's retro presentation should not be mistaken for footage from a real childhood series.
No. This website creates AI portraits and does not host or stream the movie. For the full film, check authorized cinema, rental or streaming listings in your region. The free look offered here is an AI portrait, not movie access.
For an inspired DIY outfit, combine orange clothing with a soft horn headband, a bow tie and your own playful details. Keep your vision clear and choose pieces you can move in comfortably. You can also create an original haunted unicorn portrait here for a digital Halloween look.
We sell digital portrait packs, not physical costumes, plush toys or merchandise. When browsing Etsy or costume retailers, check the actual product photos, sizing, delivery date and licensing claims. An orange inflatable unicorn costume is not necessarily official Buddy merchandise.
Sketch a rounded head and body, add ears and a single horn, then try an orange palette and an expressive face. Use a reference you are allowed to use if you want character accuracy. For original fan art, experiment with your own outfit, silhouette and spooky background.

It captures the haunted kids-show unicorn mood, but every portrait is original art rather than a copy of the character.
